Summit Pipeline Operations tasks start at the well head and continue through the pipeline to the end user. Summit offers 24/7 operating services with highly trained operators who efficiently manage transmission, gathering, distribution and midstream pipeline operations.

We maintain hundreds of miles of pipelines and our operators are OQ qualified, understanding the operational and regulatory compliance requirements of pipeline owners.

Pipeline maintenance is a top priority, ensuring we follow all regulatory compliance issues, including pigging, pipeline locating, cathodic protection surveys, and leak surveys. Additional operations include class location surveys, using the NPMS (National Pipeline Mapping System) to provide updates, as well as pipeline location and capacities.

All operators are equipped with the necessary tools, vehicles, and PPE. Safety is most important when managing any aspect of pipeline operations and maintenance.

Technology

Radio Frequency Identification, or RFID, is a technology that uses electronic tags that emit a low-frequency radio wave for the means of transmitting data to short range devices. It comes in many different shapes, sizes, and materials.

RFID is designed to be placed on assets to track a variety of needs, ranging from but not limited to inventory, logistics and supply chain visibility, lockout tag out, and annual reporting of different assists such as valves, pipelines, and markers.
