Our Company

Headquartered in Twinsburg, Ohio, Summit Petroleum was incorporated in 1984 for the purpose of exploring and developing oil and natural gas prospects.

Throughout the last 30-plus years, our primary activity at Summit has been drilling and completing oil and gas wells in northeastern Ohio and nearby areas by acting as general partner for limited partnerships as well as operator for joint ventures. In recent years, Marcellus and Utica Shale Basin exploration and infrastructure buildout has been on the rise, so we’ve shifted our focus to provide additional support within this sector.

Summit Today

Since early 2015, Summit has owned and operated over 150 conventional Clinton wells and unconventional oil and gas wells, expanded to include a field office in Cambridge, OH. By understanding the ins and outs of the oil and gas industry through having experience as an E&P company, Summit identified there was a fit and need in offering Production and Pipeline Operating services to other E&P companies.

As a contracted well service provider, Summit brought its expertise to others in the tri-state region. This includes pipeline operations, such as midstream, transmission, gathering, and distribution, along with upstream production-related services within the oil and natural gas industry..

The Future

At Summit, we're continuously growing our business in the American oil and gas industry with sights set on expanding our footprint throughout the Appalachian Basin.

Growing the Marcellus and Utica Shale Basin business is an ongoing effort. We are always looking for opportunities to expand our existing operations and capacity. Either through partnerships or joint ventures, we are open to exploring opportunities in the existing Marcellus and Utica Shale Basin areas. We believe in building strong partnerships and finding innovative and efficient solutions without compromising safety or environmental responsibility.
